Insert Posters

			 Inserts measure 14 x 36. Their
unique shape presented a challenge to the poster artists which often meant more
interesting art than the one-sheet or half sheet. Inserts were most often released on a
card stock. Like half sheets, inserts that have been folded can suffer deterioration in
    the creased areas.
Posters for  films based on books like to feature a book
image in the artwork like on the Mortal Storm poster. Calcutta, a great
example of Paramount's finest poster art, emphasizes the exotic setting and mystery theme
with a complex composition of images. Posters may usually feature stars, but in the
case of the One, Two Three poster designed by Saul Bass, director Billy Wilder gets
to sit atop the ladder for his comedy.
